Learn and practise drypoint printmaking, using Chîne Collé to add layers and colour to your prints.
Please bring drawings or photos to work from: something that you like, something that inspires you. Also, any papers that you think you’d like to experiment with layering into your prints – for example tissue papers, or any other papers or fabrics. They must be thin, clean and dry.
This is an introduction to the technique and is for people of any level, including beginners to printmaking
About the Artist
I am an artist and printmaker, living and working in the Gwendraeth Valley, Carmarthenshire. My art practice is rooted in developing my capacity for attention and care, and I often begin with drawing and writing. My art work is exploratory, an on-going investigation. I am inspired by walking in the local landscape – this is a post-coalmining area, the westernmost of the Welsh coalfields. There are moments when something shines through the things around us, ordinary and damaged though they may seem to be – we might call it beauty, or we might feel it as joy – I try to notice and give attention to those moments.
