Carole King | Bookbinding Workshop

1 Day workshop | Sunday April 2| 2023 | 10.30 – 4.30

Make a book you won’t find in the High Street. You could use it for sketching, journaling or scrapbooking. You will choose the cover design and number of pages and sew it all together to make something unique.

Make two books with buttonhole binding:

A simple  A6 version with a flexible cover to practice the technique and then another  larger version (A5) with a hard cover, patterned paper covers and a book cloth covered spine. Each book has the pages sewn directly to the cover, creating a flexible, lay flat book with an interesting spine.

Materials and tools provided but please bring anything, eg prints or papers, you would like to incorporate into your book.

BOOKBINDING | Carole King is an experienced bookbinder and teacher who has worked with us on successful projects before. She has a great range of binding techniques and we can only work with one on this one day workshop. We will schedule more in next few months
