We are lucky in South Wales in that we have such wonderful surroundings to gain inspiration from. A year of lockdown has also meant we have often had to stay in our immediate location for long periods of time and examine our immediate spaces more intimately. |

This is a call for any work featuring direct observation, working indoors or outdoors
It doesn’t need to be recent work – we would like to show as wide a range of imagery as possible, prints and drawings
You can submit your work in several different ways
Digitally |
If you have access to a scanner and can copy the prints
Aim for a file under 2MB and 72dpi.
If you are taking a copy directly with a camera make sure it is well lit and square to the frame. Again make sure your camera is set to a reasonable size and not the highest resolution
Every file should have your name, medium and dimension in the file name
eg John Smith screenprint 70 x 45 cm.jpg
Email
If you have just one or two images you can send them by email attachment to
jmford@ntlworld.com
Alternatively a link to dropbox or icloud or any file transfer system to the same email address.
You can also put them on a memory stick and leave them at the studio by post or putting them through the studio letterbox.
Again – every file should have your name, medium and dimension in the file name
eg John Smith screenprint 70 x45 cm.jpg
Help with photographing your work
If you would rather drop off the actual work to the studio we will have one day when we can copy them for you either on the A3 scanner or with the camera.
Wednesday 28 | 10.0am – 1pm
Please make sure that all work is clearly labelled on the back.
Travel and access is obviously very prescribed at the moment. If you dont have a scanner, if you take great care you can use your mobile phone if it has a reasonable camera.
Try not to have strong directional light.
Outdoors is often best with the work on the ground so that it is easier to hold the camera parallel and square.
Work can be dropped off on or before this date if you are in the studio anyway.
There is no limit to the amount of work you can submit as we have a lot of space in our virtual gallery
