Moving to Swansea in 2016 enabled me to pursue and develop my interest in print making by becoming a member at Swansea Print Workshop, after spending a career teaching French and Art in Secondary Schools, then moving into tutoring Adult Textile and Art accredited courses, along with providing a variety of Workshops for different age groups.
The natural world has always given me plenty of inspiration, finding there the textural qualities, colours, patterns and forms that I try to capture in my work, be it in mixed media or textile pieces, or using drawing, painting and print making techniques.
From collagraphs and linocuts to screenprints, monotypes and gelli prints my favourite print processes enable me to explore the medium and experiment in creating textural, expressive images using tonal values or colour combinations to enhance the work, be it abstract or representational.
