SPW was founded with private money in 1998, and we do not receive any core funding. As a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee (Companies House No: 4078671), all profits are re-invested in the studio and its activities.

Listed alphabetically below are grant-making bodies and/or grant-making funds which have supported us to deliver projects, develop as an arts facility, as a business and to extend the services we offer to artists and the wider community.

A selection of projects which these funds have made possible can be viewed on our Completed Projects archive page.

You can also view 15 funded projects in our publication People and Printmaking:15 years which, in 2001, accompanied a retrospective of 15 projects selected to showcase the artistic breadth, creative impact and business development that such projects have contributed to SPW.

Any ongoing projects can be found at Current Projects.
