Submission Guidelines

Print Submission Requirements
  • Submissions are invited from artists using any recognisable hand-produced printmaking technique, such as screenprinting, lithography, etching, engraving, collagraph, monotype, block printing, woodcut etc.
  • Giclee prints will not be accepted. However, digital processes can be used to enhance prints that are traditionally printed
  • The print image must be contained within a square area of 10cm x 10cm on a paper size measuring exactly 18cm x 18cm
  • Artists are invited to submit up to 3 individual artworks in total
  • Artists must ensure there are 4 editioned prints available for each of the artworks
  • If selected, artists will be required to send 4 of the edition to Swansea Print Workshop. 2 prints will be framed for exhibitions at Mission Gallery and the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art, and 2 prints will remain unframed
  • All prints must be available for sale
  • The cost for submitting artwork is as follows: 1 print £15 | 2 prints £20 | 3 prints £25
  • There is no specific theme however, as Mission Gallery and the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art are open to the public, we reserve the right not to display anything we deem to be unsuitable
  • Please upload your submission via CuratorSpace, ensuring your images are high quality as the panel will make their selection based on these digital images
  • All works will be prepared for exhibition by Swansea Print Workshop and will be presented in a box frame, which will be hung in both Mission Gallery in Swansea and the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art in Conwy
  • All prints must be signed, numbered, and titled by the artist, in pencil, beneath the image
  • All entries must be original and created within the last 3 years.
Sale of Work

Each selected artist will be required to submit 4 copies of the same selected print (unframed) and we will be responsible for framing.

The MiniPrint Cymru | Wales Exhibition is a selling exhibition, where all prints will be available for sale. Artists are advised that 40% commission will be retained by the galleries (30%) and Swansea Print Workshop (10%) so please set your selling prices bearing this in mind.

  • 2 prints – 1 framed and 1 unframed – will be exhibited and available for sale at both exhibition venues. Therefore each selected artist will be required to send 4 of the same print, also on paper measuring 18cm x 18cm. If the print is a monotype then a similar themed monotype will be acceptable
  • All payments for sales of prints will be made by Mission Gallery in the South and the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art in the North, to the artist at the end of each exhibition period.
Eligibility

All artists and printmakers residing in Wales or members of one of the current Regional Partners: Royal Cambrian Academy of Art (North), Swansea Print Workshop (South), Aberystwyth Printmakers (West) and the Regional Print Centre (East) or a member of a Wales-based printmaking facility.
