The Emerging Printmaker bursaries will support the two young artists in a tailor-made programme including 1-to-1 mentoring, workshops and other activities.

Strategic Aims
- To develop the skills and expertise of emerging printmakers
- To provide creative opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds
- To grow and develop the membership of Swansea Print Workshop to ensure its longevity as an organisation
Who can Apply?
The bursaries are aimed at 17-25 year olds who are:
- taking their first steps into professional arts practice
- returning to creative practice after a career break or change
- taking their art in a new direction
We also welcome applications from young people who are not in education, training or employment
Applicants must be based in the City and County of Swansea.
What is involved?
There are 2 bursaries available.
Successful applicants will receive a bursary worth approximately £1000 which will include the following:
- A tailor-made schedule to work around the needs and availability of the successful applicant
- Full annual membership for Swansea Print Workshop
- One-to-one mentoring
- Access to 5 x full day group printmaking sessions with experienced, professional printmakers
- Materials for all taught printmaking sessions
- Open Access sessions at the print studio
- Specialist materials to the value of £200
- Promotion and display of their work in the Swansea Print Workshop online gallery
The successful applicant will agree to a professional promotional photoshoot for Swansea Print Workshop, with the resulting images free for them to use for their own promotion.
They are expected to engage fully in PR, social media and associated promotion for Swansea Print Workshop.
