We love to host visiting exhibitions. It is a great chance to exchange ideas and inspiration and to build international relationships as well as develop those closer to home.

We hope you enjoy our selection of images and archive photographs below from previous Visiting Exhibitions which we have hosted and facilitated at other venues.

To propose a Visiting Exhibition, please find information here. We would love to discuss your ideas further.

Ukraine War Art | 2022 – Swansea Printmakers, Digital Exhibition Space

A powerful collection of graphic images by Ukrainian artists living in a war zone. The work reflects the first-hand experiences of the devastation and destruction around them and the urge we have to express ourselves creatively no matter what our experiences are.

Leftovers VII | 2018 – The Drawing Room, Swansea Print Workshop

Leftovers is an annual international touring exhibition for miniature artworks that are no larger than 5” by 7”. The idea originated from Wingtip Press as a way to make use of leftover quality paper. SPW has supported the exhibitions through artist member, Rose Davies, whose work has featured in Leftovers exhibitions.

Leftovers VI | 2017 – The Drawing Room, Swansea Print Workshop

A selection of prints from 2017 exhibition showing the simple but effective display method. The whole exhibition can be packed up in a small cardboard box and has been on quite a journey of exhibition venues before reaching us.

Leftovers II | 2012 – The Drawing Room, Swansea Print Workshop

Swansea Print Workshop hosted ‘Leftovers II’ – an exhibition of miniature prints by international artists. From Boise, Idaho, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the exhibition successfully toured the USA and New Zealand before coming to Swansea.

Contemporary Pakistani Printmakers | 2006 – Oriel Ceri Richards Gallery, Swansea

As part of the Festival of Muslim Cultures project this visiting exhibition was arranged and curated by Sameera Khan, Studio Manager and Sarah Hopkins, Project Coordinator. It then went on to tour in two other venues. Supporting the Contemporary Pakistani Printmakers exhibition is a tri-lingual exhibition catalogue, which is published in English, Welsh and Urdu.

The exhibition and supporting material provided a specially appointed Outreach Team with a resource for teaching, informing local children, students and community groups about contemporary approaches to printmaking under the theme of ‘Image and Symbol and Text’.

The Exhibition was also shown in 2006 at St Donats Arts Centre, Vale of Glamorgan and Sultan Gallery, Lancaster
