Our team of Young Volunteers were selected in November for the roles of Project Assistant, Marketing/Events Assistant and Community Artists.

Project Assistant: Joyce Li; Marketing and Events Assistant: Carly Llewellyn

Community Artists: Charlotte Higgins, Matthew Otten, Rosie Hughes and Amy Treharne.

Swansea Print Workshop was awarded a GwirVol Youth Volunteering Grant of £7,306 in October 2010 towards our Young Volunteers Community Arts Project.

This project gives six volunteers, aged between 20 and 24, the opportunity to contribute to their community through the delivery of printmaking workshops to four community groups. The Young Volunteers will work alongside experienced artists and arts administrators to receive the skills to plan and run the project as well as deliver the printmaking workshops.

The team of Young Volunteers were selected in November for the roles of Project Assistant, Marketing/Events Assistant and Community Artists.

The Young Volunteers have chosen Endangered Species of Wales as the theme for the Community Arts workshops which will run in January and February 2011. They would like to work with a local school, young carers, young refugees and disabled people. The ‘Going, going not quite gone’ workshops will be suitable for beginners and more experienced artists alike.

Any community groups who would be interested in taking part in the subsidized workshops should email Sarah Jackman or Joyce Li on spwproject@gmail.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
