Swansea Print Workshop runs courses and workshops for people at all levels, from the complete beginner to the professional artist or practised printmaker.

Come and learn to print – we offer workshops and courses for all ages and ability.

Swansea Print Workshop runs workshops for people at all levels: from the complete beginner to the professional artist or practised printmaker. We also offer other workshops such as bookmaking and paper making to enrich your creative skills. You don’t have to be able to draw – some of the processes use a collage or photographic approach to image-making. If there isn’t a course you need scheduled, we can arrange a one-to-one session to get you started or to upgrade your expertise.

Our current Workshop Programme has plenty of variety for beginners, those in need of a refresher as well as for more experienced artists. Workshops are delivered by returning, popular artists as well as new tutors, all offering a wide-range of techniques and different approaches to printmaking and other creative workshops. If the workshop you were hoping to attend is fully booked, please get in touch (giving your email and phone number) to be added to a waiting list. We will then contact you should a place become available. 

Many of our workshops are perfect for learning a new technique or refreshing your skills and provide a great platform to move on to working independently or to more advanced work. No experience is necessary.

We also offer more advanced workshops to support you in your professional and creative development.

If there isn’t a course or workshop scheduled which fits your needs, we can arrange a one-to-one session with an experienced printmaker to get you started or to upgrade your skills. We can also design a course for you or your group for an event or celebration or consider repeating a workshop in our programme if there is demand. We have a wide range of expertise amongst our membership and we are always happy to discuss other options and ideas. Please get in touch in the first instance by email.

We keep our numbers small, usually a maximum group of 8, to allow plenty of individual attention from the tutor and a good working space for everyone. All materials are supplied and included in the price.

You can pay securely through the website. We accept payments by PayPal and other debit and credit cards. Please select the PayPal Button for ALL card transactions – this will give you the opportunity to use your debit/credit card (the black button option). You do not need to have or create a PayPal Account to pay this way. Unfortunately we are no longer able to accept payments by BACS due to high administration demands.

Cancellation and refund policy

We keep our workshop places to a small maximum number (usually 8), to offer the best experience to all participants. Our cancellation policy ensures that this is possible while remaining financially viable.

Therefore refunds* are only guaranteed for any workshop cancellation if we are able to fill your place; or offered at our discretion due to exceptional circumstances.

We make every effort to find a replacement participant for any cancelled booking, however, we require advance notice of at least 3 weeks to have the best chance of doing so.

If less than 3 weeks’ notice is given, we are not always in a position to attempt to fill your place.

It is therefore important to let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a workshop.

* These refunds will incur a £5.00 administration fee and the payment processing fee paid by SPW for the original order.

A minimum of two weeks’ notice will be given by SPW if we have to cancel a workshop due to insufficient numbers and a full refund will then be given to all booked participants.

If we have to cancel at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be given to all booked participants if they are unable to participate on a rescheduled date.
